I am a New Zealand-based Filipino designer and the person behind Design Kuno. I finished a Bachelor of Design with Honours Major in Visual Communications Design at Massey University, Wellington. I work as a graphic designer at Pivot Design in Feilding, Manawatu.
Most of my illustrations and designs lean towards playful, fun, colourful and bright aesthetics. However, I would like to believe that I consider the values, vision and brand of my clients to create them.
I mainly work with Procreate for illustrations, and like every designer in the planet, I am an avid Adobe Suite junkie.
I mostly work on Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator during post-processing.
My hobbies include photography and videography.
The Story Behind Design Kuno
There’s a funny story to Design Kuno. Kuneho in Filipino translates to “rabbit” and I have always wanted to have some rabbit element in my brand. Kuno in Filipino means “as it is said” or “so they say” and when similarities in letters come to play, I decided to stick to Design Kuno.
My partner laughed at the idea but later on created a logo for me.
I also volunteer at Wellington Rabbit Rescue, trying to share my knowledge, experiences, research and design materials from my final year project which was about– yup, you guessed it… Rabbits!
As of the moment, I am working around my day job schedule and would be happy to take small projects that I can work on during the weekends.
However, I have been considering making open-source content at the moment. So, stay tuned for that!
